With a strong and durable E-glass black at its core, the Platinum Hook Roller Stripper Standup rods are ready to take on some of the most demanding offshore trolling techniques and tactics for hard use to come. From trolling to chunking, these rods are fitted with premium componentry to deliver on top-of-the-line performance and capabilities all at a more affordable price. A Slick Buttand Aluminum Reel Seat are fitted to each rod locking down your favorite choice of conventional reel down to withstand immense drag pressures for long battles. The 30-50lb model features an Aftco HD Stripper and tip, while its 50-80lb larger brother is fitted with an Aftco Wind-On Stripper and tip. Both allow allowing a seamless, trouble-free use of braid, mono, connection knots and more. Reels in the 30W to 50W classification are ideally suited for either rod model, perfect for large tuna and other pelagics.
Built to tackle large gamefish, the Shimano Tyrnos 2-Speed Reels are a heavy-duty hitter with a robustly built design. The reels oversized gearing are truly meant to put the muscle in the fight, with an extra long handle shank with an oversized ergonomic rubber power grip to aid in comfort. A diecast aluminum frame and and graphite Side Plates work to reduce weight while maintaining strength and durability, keeping it ready for battles to come.
