Perfected for inshore and back bay angling, the Z-Man Trout Eye X Jigheads expand upon one of the top selling jigheads of its class, keeping its proven head design and concept while elevating the jighead with a custom 2X Strong Mustad AlphaPoint Jighook. This hook is stouter in wire to beef up its capabilities in handling larger and more determined species, while Mustad’s AphaPoint 4.8 technology utilizes a narrower taper construction to improve its penetration speed and sharpness. The power needed to set the hook is kept the same as the original, while gaining nearly 10X the durability of standard needlepoint hooks. Mustad also incorporated their Titan Steel coating to improve the corrosion resistance, with 10X the resistance over black nickel. Outfitting the jighead are molded conical keeper barbs that securely grip ElaZtech baits and standard soft plastics, while a durable powder coated finishes on painted models and enlarged color matched eyes improve the realism.
